Thanks to Randy Kesling, Guardians Board member, and Martin Christ, WVDEP Northern Basin Coordinator, the first two of our West Fork River Water Trail signs were installed Monday.

Guardians created the Water Trail in 2014. The sign project was funded by our 2024 Stream Partners grant. Trail logo and sign were designed by Riley Krumenacker, former VISTA with US Fish and Wildlife. Thanks to Martin for verifying the stream mileage and filling in all the sign templates! There will be a sign in the parking lot at each site, streamside, and at the roadside.
We hope to have the rest of the signs installed in the next few weeks at the usable public access points: Stonewall Jackson Dam and Tailwaters, Middle Run, Good Hope, West Milford, Clarksburg VA Park, Shinnston, Worthington, and Monongah. Randy could use some help with the streamside signs – if you have a couple of hours and can use a posthole digger, email admin@guardiansofthewestfork.org.
