Regular Meeting Wednesday 19 Aug 2026

The Guardians Board will meet at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, 19 August 2026, at the Clarksburg Water Board and online. If you are not on our mailing list and would like to attend online, please email admin@guardiansofthewestfork.org for an invitation.

We will be discussing our progress on Lambert Run Site 7 and Site 8. Site 7 is the largest source of pollution, and our largest site, in the project. It is exciting to be starting on our last major construction to complete a project of 25 years.

We will also be looking at the working draft of the asset map produced by Ganga Nakarmi, our consultant under our remaining Ohio River Valley Participatory Fund grant. The map will let us see at a glance all sorts of things affecting our watershed health, like abandoned mine lands, drinking water intakes, sewer lines and treatment plants, septic systems, industrial wastewater outlets and injection wells – and our assets like parks and public lands, trails, and river access. This will help us see at a glance where there might be trouble spots or opportunities – and also let us drill down to details.

We will also be talking about our plans for this fall and winter.

We have many opportunities, from digging postholes to event organizing, water testing and Water Trail maintenance, construction oversight to Treasurer. Please come and join us.
