Middle Run Celebration Rescheduled Sunday October 18

The tail of hurricane Isaias came through, and although the forecast said the afternoon would be dry, the river is running a bit high and fast, so we decided to postpone to next Sunday, same time if the forecast is good.

Come celebrate the greatly improved Middle Run Bridge access on the West Fork Water Trail at the south end of Weston. WVDNR has done a great job with a new concrete ramp and great paved parking.

Middle Run Bridge

Sunday, October 18, 1 p.m. to whenever.

We will have a parking lot potluck picnic, set the streamside sign, which will mean moving some rip rap and do an out and back paddle up to the Bendale Bridge – which is about 1.5 miles one way. Guardians will provide pulled chicken and pork, buns, and sauce. Bring your own drinks, something to share, and a plate and utensils.

Let us know you are coming so we know how much BBQ!
